Commercial Restroom Remodel
How to update your commercial restroom: New lighting, tile, fixtures, paint, toilet partitions and be sure to follow all ADA codes --- GO!
Stillhouse Canyon office park is tucked away in North-West Austin, TX, where business owners can rent office space from building owners in the park. I recently had the luxury of helping one of those business owners develop their space in one of the suites offered at Stillhouse Canyon called Lucent Recovery & Wellness.
The office building has shared restrooms between all of the suites. Since Stillhouse Canyon office park was built in the 1980s, the restrooms were in need of an upgrade to follow modern ADA codes. Since the building owner was going to do this work, she also needed to upgrade the finishes as well. I was commissioned to help the building owner with this task. The project entailed creating a layout that followed the ADA code and I was to pick new finishes for the restrooms. The walls were covered in wallpaper and all the tile, partitions, countertops and fixtures were in need of a makeover. See below what this restroom looked like before work started.

The new tile chosen is a bit more modern with a more rustic look to keep with the general feel of the building. The entry door width was widened and one toilet stall was completely removed to accommodate ADA standard code. The lighting, toilet partitions, fixtures, tile, countertop, and paint were all newly updated. It was a pleasure working with the contractor, Luis, with 1st Call Remodeling. He was very knowledgeable and communicative during the whole construction process. Here is to another happy client!
