Easy, Fun, Decorative Plants

I'm on a bit of a plant obsession lately and I want to share what I have learned. I've talked to numerous people about how they can't have plants because they kill them. I have had the same problem with certain plants before. There are so many YouTube videos that demonstrate how to care for certain variety of plants and lots of internet verbiage, but they all seem to give you slightly different information and tips. First of all, you need to know what you can handle. Some people are super busy all the time so it's probably better you have a low maintenance and resilient type plant. Also, I always have that the problem with "out of sight, out of mind" so try to keep your plants visible to where you spend a lot of time in your home so you always see your plants. Try buying your plants from an actual plant shop that have knowledgeable staff about how to care for and maintain the plants they sell. If you buy them from the front of grocery stores or even at Home Depot, there really isn't someone there to help educate you on the type of plant you are buying. I think succulents and ivy, leafy plants are easiest to maintain for someone who has a busy schedule or even travels a lot. This is because succulents don't need much water to survive and the ivy, leafy plants just sit in water, so as long as there is always water in the container, they will be fine. What's also cool about these varieties is that you can literally cut leaves or stems from the succulents or ivy, leafy plants and replant or re-container them to grow into another plant so you get more! It's really fun to watch your plants grow that you re-potted.

As I have said before, plants make a huge statement in your home decor and they make you feel good when you are around them. So, give it shot, even if you think you can't care for plants. You should be able to enjoy the presence of plants in your life just like anyone else with a green thumb. If you don't think you have enough space to put a plant, you can buy fun plant stands and wall or ceiling containers. When you have a small place, putting plants up on shelves or on walls or ceilings are nice to keep them off the floor. Here are some cool ideas that I really like:
