As a new homeowner, sometimes the house you buy needs some upgrades to make it function for your needs as well as reflecting a little more of your personality. Kitchens and bathrooms are often the spaces in most need of upgrading. Whatever room or rooms need to be rethought, you can do simple upgrades such as paint and maybe light fixtures to more extreme upgrades like moving or removing walls that require a contractor. Either way, knowing your budget will help you prioritize and decide which rooms you would like to conquer. Usually, simple upgrades make a huge difference. In this project, a contractor was needed to demolish and relocate plumbing points, move walls, as well as install new finishes, fixtures and cabinets.

Even with the simplest tasks, it can be hard to decide which items to buy or what colors to pick because there are so many choices. This is the point in which an interior design consultant would be of help. An Interior Design consultant can help you narrow down your choices to make it easier for you to make decisions. You can be involved as much as you would like in the process. Sometimes, you are a busy bee and just need someone to do the research and work for you, and sometimes, you definitely know what you like and don't like, but still need that extra help of gathering your options. In this project, I did most of my work space planning in drawings than I did picking finishes.
